To any parent that has lost a child…

There is not a small part of me that doesn’t feel for the families of the horrible tragedy at Sandy Elementary, I couldn’t imagine, I don’t want to imagine, it’s a parents WORST nightmare

With that said, there is also not a small part of me that doesn’t feel for ANY parent who has lost their child for ANY reason…In all this aftermath, in all the moments of silence and news reports…I keep thinking “But what about all the other parents, we never give them a moment of silence publicly, nationally…” Maybe individually, in our thoughts…but nobody takes a moment and randomly pauses and says “lets take a moment of silence for all the parents who have lost their child to cancer, who’s children have been abducted (and they don’t even know if they are alive or not), who’s children are fighting sickness, who’s children have been killed in car accicents (with or without involving a drunk driver), who’s children had some freak accident that was fatal, who’s children died in fires, drowned, beaten or any other horrific tragedy that would involve a child dying”. Because to me, that in itself is a

 tragedy.

I think society in general seems to forget that children die every day, for MANY reasons, and if it doesnt happen first hand, or have a big impact then its just something that happens.  All the sudden everyone is worried about their children in society, well quite frankly everyone should have been worried a long time ago…there have been “tragedies” just like this one many times, with or without guns.  Its sick. It makes me nauseous. But I think society as a whole HOPES that people are trustworthy when in fact, you should put your guard up way more than you do. I do. and not to be a social outcast, I do it for the safety of my family.

Please don’t take this the wrong way because I am NOT saying the Sandy Elementary kids & families don’t deserve our thoughts, all I am saying is… “Keep in your thoughts all the parents that have lost their child…ever”…

“You ALL deserve MY moment of silence”…

Never walk away from someone you love with out letting them know you love them, you never know what can happen, take each moment for what it is worth.
